Day 30!

Day 30:
A picture of you and three good things that have happened

This went by so fast! But three good things that have happened...
1. I went and saw Cars 2!
2. I found a possible job opportunity doing social media for a company in Maryland while I am home for 2 months this summer.
3. My roommate Brighton got engaged! Doesn't relate to me but sortof does haha.

Well, it is the end of the semester, which means finals week and a lot of stress. Wish me luck that I survive!

Day 29

Day 29-
Your hopes, dreams, and plans for the next 365 days

Wow... this one is tough. I will be graduating from college in a year! I'm super excited about that. I hope to do as well in school as I can. I hope to lose weight and be super skinny in a year. I better be very happy with where I am in life, and hopefully I will have accomplished a lot. I hope that whatever happens is for the best. I'm excited to see where I will be in a year!

Day 28

Day 28:
A photo that makes you happy

Some good times in this picture during my first semester at college 3 years ago! I miss those days!

Day 27

Day 27:
A picture of someone you couldn't imagine your life without

I love my mom and couldn't imagine my life without her! This is a picture of us in DisneyLand in June of 2008. So long ago!

Day 26

Day 26:
A picture of your biggest pet peeve

I can't stand it when people pop their knuckles, or any body parts for that matter. The sound makes me cringe! It is also the biggest turn off for me. The hottest guy could pop his knuckles and I would never look at him again. Ever.

Day 25

Day 25:
A picture of one of your favorite homemade foods and the recipe for it

So far I have two of my favorite recipes on my blog (potato soup and apple dumplings!) but one I haven't added yet, but have been meaning to, is the oh-so-scrumptious pumpkin roll! I don't care that this is classified as a Christmas holiday food. I love it so much and I crave it a lot! Too bad I probably won't be eating it again until Christmas since I'm going on my strict diet from July until I am satisfied with my weight. But it is definitely a food you must make! It does take some skill and practice, and the first time around it will probably be messy, but you'll perfect it in no time!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup powdered sugar (to sprinkle on towel)
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)

Directions:

PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan; line with wax paper. Grease and flour paper. Sprinkle towel with powdered sugar.
COMBINE flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt in small bowl. Beat eggs and sugar in large mixer bowl until thick. Beat in pumpkin. Stir in flour mixture. Spread evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle with nuts.
BAKE for 13 to 15 minutes or until top of cake springs back when touched. Immediately loosen and turn cake onto prepared towel. Carefully peel off paper. Roll up cake and towel together, starting with narrow end. Cool on wire rack.
BEAT cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter and vanilla extract in small mixer bowl until smooth. Carefully unroll cake; remove towel. Spread cream cheese mixture over cake. Reroll cake. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Day 24

Day 24:
A picture of your worst habit

I always am picking at my split ends if I'm sitting doing nothing and if my hair is down. I do it the most when my hair is straight because they're easier to see. I have sadly gotten my little sister into picking her split ends, and during church she'll bribe me to pick split ends out of her hair. Pretty nuts!

Day 23

Day 23:
A picture of your favorite memory

I miss my childhood memories so much! I have some amazing memories and my favorite ones are definitely from my childhood :) this photo was when we had a slumber party at Britney's house. Brit added the hats for decoration from the Piknik photo editing site. But those were some great times!

Day 22

Day 22:
A picture that makes you laugh

This was from my 3rd semester, fall of '09. I loved these girls, they were the best roommates! I've had a TON of amazing roommates with such great memories. But these girls and I did some silly things. I miss them both SO MUCH!

Day 17-21!

So it doesn't look like anyone else had a problem, but I could not put a new post on blogger! Every time I tried to, it would say "Error: Bad Request". I don't know what the heck was wrong. How can I keep my goal to post everyday if it won't let me? I still made blogs in a word document and had to post them later due to blogger being ridiculous. Finally this morning, I got it to work so now I have to play catch up, which I seem so good at doing!

Day 17:
A picture of something you're addicted to

I'm addicted to texting. I would be lost without my cell phone!

Day 18:
A picture of something you wish you were better at

I bought these programs and got all excited, because now I could design whatever I wanted to whenever I wanted. But sadly, school and doing homework non-stop hasn't allowed me to design whenever. I do wish I was better with these programs. Luckily I am taking a class once a week to learn more about them. I know the class will help me a ton and I'm so excited!

Day 19:
A picture of something you wish you could change

I wish, right now, I could change it so that there was NO construction on campus. It is everywhere! New apartments being built, new amphitheater, Taylor Quad being taken out and replaced by grass... it is ridiculous. But I am glad that they are making the required changed for this school to grow so more people can come someday in the future. That future is very far off though... I'm sure when I come back in 10 years it will look amazing. But right now it is annoying and it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Day 20:
A picture of something you hate

I hate failing at anything. Luckily I work hard in school so I don't really fail, but the fear of failing is something I hate as well. If I ever fail, I feel like I won't ever be good enough. But I have learned that we all need to fail sometimes because we learn and grow from our mistakes.

Day 21:
A picture of something you love

Isn't this little girl adorable? I love laughter and little children so much, especially a little child laughing! It is so precious to me, and reminds me of how much I loved being a carefree little girl.

Day 16

Day 16: A picture of something you're afraid of

I had to find a somewhat cute spider because the real pictures of spiders freak me out! But spiders give me the chills.... like to the extreme. I can't kill them or go near them. If they are in one room of my house I go to another. I hate them!

Day 15

Day 15: A picture of someone who inspires you

My grandparents inspire me. I have so many great memories with them that I will cherish forever. They are such an example to not only me, but to everyone they come in contact with. They are the kindest, most caring people in the world! I love you Grammie and Gramps!

Day 14

Day 14: A picture of something that means a lot to you

My beliefs mean a lot to me. I am so grateful I was born and raised in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the meanings of families, temples, and so many other topics that make me happy and take away all my doubts and fears. Joesph Smith is one of my heroes. I don't know where I would be today without the gospel in my life!

This picture is of the Rexburg Temple at night... isn't is so pretty? I am so blessed to see this temple on top of the hill, over my school campus, every day :)

Day 13

Day 13: A picture of your favorite artist or band

I really wouldn't say I have a favorite band, because I like a lot of songs that come from only one band. But I listen to The Maine a whole bunch. Their music seems to never get old, and it is the perfect music to listen to on almost any occasion!

Day 12

Day 12: A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel

I want to go to as many tropical places as possible! My first stop being here: Bora Bora, which is part of the Islands of Tahiti. I would love to go to all of Tahiti's remote islands and stay in one of these water bungalows right on the water! I could go snorkeling right out my front door!

Day 11

Day 11: A picture of a person you would love to trade places with for a day

I would like to trade place with one of these two lovely ladies. Last Thursday, BYU-Idaho had its usual Newel K. Whitney Summit like it does every semester. My communication classes got cancelled so I could go attend it. I appreciate the top business professionals that come and give presentations about a topic that in hopes will help us later out in life. But these ladies, Kate Jones and Sara Wells, came and spoke on how to develop a web-based business strategy. They told us their story of how they turned a little home-grown hobby into a profitable business. Their cooking blog now gets over 2 million followers every MONTH. They weren't planning on their hobby turning into a big deal. It just goes to show that things always happen when you least expect them! They won the Better Homes and Gardens Blogger Cook Off, and have also recently printed their first cook book. They are VERY SUCCESSFUL!

They are living my dream. They are able to work from home doing something they love (blogging about cooking) while being stay-at-home moms. That is what I want to do someday... not blog about cooking, but have some type of home business doing what I love. Therefore, I would love to trade places with one of them to see what my future life could possibly be like :)

Day 10

Day 10: A picture of your biggest insecurity

My biggest insecurity is definitely my weight. I lose some confidence in myself because of it. I know if I force myself to go on a diet to lose weight, it would make me a much happier person. It's just hard to get into the habit! I plan on going on a very strict diet during my summer break and start forming healthy habits!

Day 9

Day 9: A picture of someone you miss

I miss my best friend Holly! This picture was taken during our senior year of high school, a little over 3 years ago. Holly and I were really close all throughout high school. My best memories have her in them! I haven't seen her since December :( That's what happens when you're on different tracks for school. Her and her husband, Brad, are in Louisiana for Brad's summer job. They just had their first baby boy, Bentlee, about 3 weeks ago!

I will never forget Holly and I's crazy adventures that include sleeping on my deck, roasting starbursts, making our "Chuck Wagon", playing ligretto, making cherry limeades, going to Whistler twice, going to Disneyland, doing many church-related activities, unpleasant girls camp trips, eating fiber one bars, watching The Hills, pulling pranks as well as being pranked, our sweet dancing skills, constant laughter, and many other crazy things!

I love you Holly and am so blessed to have a best friend like you!

Day 8

Day 8: A picture of your most treasured item

I received my CTR ring for my 16th birthday. Therefore I have had it for 5 and a half years. I have worn it pretty much everyday since my 16th birthday. It is a constant reminder for me to choose the right and remember what I stand for. I feel naked when I don't have my CTR ring on!

Note: I was trying to be creative with my ring and display it somewhere other than my finger. Don't judge my oddity!

Day 7

Day 7: A picture of the cast from your favorite show

I love a lot of television shows. Modern Family, anything on the food network, The Bachelorette, and a few more. But I love the suspense that Pretty Little Liars has. The new season just started up about a week ago, and I'm so excited for all the surprises that are in store!
