Splash Mountain is up and splashing!

I have never enjoyed rides with big drops... like Splash Mountain for example. It's a simple flume ride and I still don't like it! I think the main reason (and forgive my oddness) is that the storyline sad before you drop, so you're depressed when you drop, then you drop, and you're still left depressed. After you drop, the characters are singing "zippity-doo-dah" on a ferry, attempting to make you happy. But when I went on Splash Mountain at Disneyland, I was not happy at all during that whole ride, and said I would never go on it again.

Splash Mountain has been closed here at Disney World ever since I got here because they were putting in lap bars. It just opened up a couple days ago, and my friend Kristen really wanted to go on it today. So I said why not? It didn't make me depressed at all at the beginning since it didn't seem so sad. And after the big drop I enjoyed singing along to "zippity-doo-dah". I am glad I have overcome my mini fear of that ride! I will definitely be going on that again soon. My next fear to overcome with big drops: Tower of Terror. If that happens, it will be a miracle!

Here is me and Kristen enjoying our time going down the big drop. We're in the third row near the back if you can't tell already!

In a couple weeks, Toontown is closing for good and being replace with some other rides. One of the rides is going to be a Little Mermaid ride, which I don't know much about but when I talk to the people I work with about it they say it's going to be very good. Another one of the rides is going to be a roller coaster type of a ride, and you're in mine carts going through the mine in Snow White. Since a new Snow White ride is opening, the Snow White ride they have now is going away and it will be replaced with a place where you can get to meet and get your picture taken with the princesses (since the one in Toontown is going away). Also a Beauty and the Beast restaurant is opening up. Although the new changes sound way cool, I still think it's sad that Toontown, is going away. I mean Mickey and Minnie's houses are there that have been around for forever! It just doesn't seem like it will be the same with those gone. But change is inevitable and for the better. I walked around Toontown today for the first time, and most likely last, after riding a few rides in the Magic Kingdom with Kristen. We stopped to say hello to Mickey and Minnie!
