Christmas time

This Christmas was a lot of fun! Nothing out of the ordinary happened... but we did have church for one hour. I actually was glad Christmas fell on a Sunday this year. It helped me remember what Christmas is truly about by going to church and being spiritually uplifted by all the musical numbers!

Some of the highlights from this Christmas were:

On Christmas Eve, my family and I went to my Aunt Mimi's house and had dinner with some of my Chlarson family! It was a lot of fun, and the food of course was delicious! Santa Clause even came to our house to visit my cousin's cute kids! I was asked to sit on his lap, and was told I had been a good girl that year. Phew, I was a little worried about that!

On Christmas morning, we opened our gifts. One gift that I was excited to get and have been wanting for a long time was "Our Best Bites" Cookbook! I love these Mormon Blogger Moms and they have been an inspiration to me ever since I met them last June at school! You can bet I will be cooking a lot more now! Sometime this week when all my family is home, I plan on making Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers with Cilantro Lime Rice. YUM!

Kristen got a guitar for Christmas! I hope she practices a lot and becomes good at playing!

After church, we went out to my Grandma Key's house like we normally do and had Christmas dinner and opened presents. My grandma got a new chihuahua puppy a couple weeks prior, since her other two chihuahua's have passed away from old age. His name is Owen and he is so cute and little!

I love Christmastime. I love the snow (the one day of the year I appreciate it, but there was NONE this year! So not right), the lights, the food, the smells, the love and laughter, and the special Christmas spirit that comes with this wonderful holiday!

A couple of other things I thought I would mention....

I scanned this picture and put in on Facebook, since they have a new "timeline" view for your Facebook profile page. They start from when you were born, and have what you have posted on Facebook from your birth to now in a timeline form. Mine has my birth, then nothing until 2007 when I got a Facebook! But you have the option of posting a baby picture of yourself, so I added this one of me on my first Christmas a few days after I was born. It fits with the whole Christmas theme of this blog post, so I figured I would add it on here!

Also, tonight I watched my cousin Leisha's cute girls so her and her husband could go out to dinner for their anniversary! We had a fun time having a tea party, pretending to go to sleep then waking up to Emma yelling "Wake Up!", putting the kitten stuffed animals to bed, scaring the dragon stuffed animal away by blowing on him, taking silly pictures, and watching Winnie the Pooh! I thought it was entertaining how Nora can speak pretty well and say things that you can understand, but when asked to say "Nora" she says "Emma"! I love little girls so much!

That is all for now! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
