Training to be a Vacation Planner!

Finally it's day 4, the day I have been counting to! I trained for 8 hours today... and I will have to train for 8 hours everyday for the next 4 days! Will I ever get a break?

I already LOVE my job, and I haven't even started! Basically I will be selling tickets in front of the Magic Kingdom in a ticket kiosk. But we were in a class today at Disney University learning about the basics. We learned about the history of Disney tickets and how they have changed, the computer systems they use to sell the different tickets offered to guests, and so much more. I will really be interacting with guests and talking to them about the different parks and rides depending on their interests to hopefully get them more excited about being there. We got to use the computers to print off tickets and receipts. It was the real thing, except not really! I can't wait to talk more about my job once I figure out more!

I feel really privileged because there are 7,000 college students working here at the different roles... and there's about 10 different roles. But there was only 8 of us chosen to be vacation planners. Crazy huh? It is an intense role that requires a lot of training. But I know this role will improve my communication skills a lot which is perfect for me being a communications major!

Tonight I'm hoping to go to one of the parks and go on some rides finally! I just need to find which friends of mine want to go too!
