I decided to go down to Provo this weekend and visit my cousin Cherise and her cute family! Little did I know I would also be seeing my cousin RyLee and his wife Sarah and cute 2-month-old KayLee. I haven't seen RyLee in years, so it was so good to see him again. I drove down with my awesome roommate Megan from last semester. She lives in Pleasant Grove so it was very convenient to have her along for the ride to keep me entertained!
I got to Provo around 2 on Saturday. Mack was so excited to have company come over and he just makes me so happy! I have missed him making me laugh ever since the family reunion in July. He is still his silly, four-year old self with the biggest imagination! Addie and Lydia, my cousin Cherise's adorable 9-month-old twins, have grown like crazy! They sit up and Lydia crawls everywhere! Addie just enjoys bouncing up and down while clapping her hands. I could just play with them all day!
Here is the one picture I got of Addie and Lydia together. Addie wouldn't stop bouncing, so that's why her face is a little blurry. It's still a cute picture!
We all went to the Olive Garden around 4. My Aunt Jana and Uncle Alan from Texas were down in Park City for Alan's work, and were visiting my cousin Eddy and his wife Miken as well. We all wanted to see them so badly! But since they were really busy, we didn't know if we would get to. The only possible solution would be if we went down to Park City and met up with them. So... we ended up doing just that! RyLee came up with the idea that we stay at a condo that him and Sarah stayed at, so we packed up our bags, the kids, the highchairs and strollers and were off! It was a crazy last minute decision that ended up being really fun!
The condo we stayed at was so nice! There were two bedrooms, a huge bathroom, and a really long hallway that lead to the living room and kitchen. There was also a small balcony with a hot tub that we went in at midnight once all the kids were in bed. The bathroom had a huge window at the top that connected to the living room, which was weird and anyone could stand on the couch and look in at you. So hopefully no one did that while I took a shower this morning!
This afternoon, once we checked out of our condo, we were lucky enough to meet up with my Texas family! What depressed me was that by the time they got there, I had to leave in 15 minutes to go get Megan so we could be at dinner back in Rexburg at 6. So it was a quick hello and goodbye, but seeing them was better than not seeing them at all!
This weekend flew by! I love my family so much and am glad I have great cousins that only live 4 hours away. I wish I would have gone down and visited sooner! Mack is the cutest little boy on earth, and his stories were so funny! He asked me at one point, "Kylie, are you a boy or a girl?" Then Cherise told me the story about how he gets confused sometimes ever since he saw a boy at the grocery store that was dressed like a girl. I didn't feel so bad after that. It cracked me up though! There were a lot of other silly saying he said that definitely got me laughing. And whenever I see Addie and Lydia I want twin girls of my own! I'm glad I got to help take care of them this weekend, and especially helping out during their bath and watching Mack making them laugh really hard! I have to go back sometime soon... or else I will be very sad! Thanks Cherise for inviting me!
